*Some things get better with age, but tyres do not! It is dangerous to drive with worn out tyres Check the tread regularly and don’t be afraid to say goodbye when it’s time!
*It is illegal to operate a vehicle while holding your cell phone. Even when stationery in traffic flow or at stop signs and traffic lights you are breaking the law. Always use a hands-free option or safely pull over.
*Wet driving conditions require extra care. Put on headlights to see and be seen, brake and steer gently to avoid skidding, keep your distance and slow down. Be mindful of pedestrians and cyclists.
*Always use your indicators to signal an intended change of direction, whether turning left or right, or when moving out of your traffic lane. Using indicators is the universal language for drivers to notify other road users of their intentions. Failing to indicate is an offense according to the Traffic Law and carries a penalty of CI $100.

*Road safety is a shared responsibility. Pedestrians should use sidewalks where provided or walk on the left facing the flow of traffic. Use pedestrian crossings where you have the right of way to safely cross. Pedestrians should wait until it is safe before stepping out. Drivers and Cyclist should stop to allow pedestrians to cross.
